ACA holds a majority stake in three Protea Select Hotels in Nigeria:

– Protea Hotel Select Ikeja, a 117-room hotel in the Ikeja Central Business District of Lagos State, Nigeria’s commercial hub,

– Protea Hotel Select Emotan Benin City, an 87-room hotel in the heart of Benin City, the Edo State capital, and

– Protea Hotel Select Owerri, a 96-room hotel in Owerri, the capital of Imo state. Owerri is one of the fastest growing cities in Nigeria and is the central point of South-west, South-south and South-eastern Nigeria.

ACA is also invested in Protea Select Hotel, Takoradi, Ghana, a 132-room hotel developed in partnership with the Mohinani Group, a Ghanaian conglomerate.

The hotels are managed by Protea Hotels by Marriott, one of the most widely recognized hospitality brands. All hotels are in prime locations, within close proximity of airports, business districts and leisure centres.

All the hotels employ over 500 people. In addition to creating jobs, the use of local and foreign construction companies provided a platform for knowledge and skills transfer.

The hotels in Benin, Owerri and Takoradi are market leaders as they are the first internationally branded hotels in both cities.
